Ease the Pain

I’m sorry for your pain,
for the selfish strains.
I’m here to sustain you.
Imagine us walking on the beach planting our feet in the sand.
Can you feel it taking away all the demands?
I want to show you what true love feels like
Even in this not so bright light.
I will love you past all transgressions
That’s been passed on to you.
At your request,
I’ll take you to a place where it feels like bliss between us.
But would you trust me,
with your most precious jewels?
Would you cuss me if I told you the truth?
Or would you prefer that I cut you loose?
I don’t want to add strain or pain
I just want to make you gain in some way
I want to offer you love down my lane
So that you can refrain from the games
I understand your pain
But you must release, let go, break free
It’s your life, you see
Don’t you want it to be with me?
