I reached a stale mate

I no longer want to negotiate

I'm going back to the original state

No, I'm not playing it safe

I just want to mitigate

before we negotiate to understand where we stand

Not the current situation that we created

based on half-truths and selfish states

The one that I can appreciate

I want to get this straight

you wanna make me wait?

While you take your time to make up your mind

Where should I spend my time?

Is it fair to wait while you continue to negate

what we created while we dated?

I focused my mind

and I spent my time trying to make things work between us

But I won't make a fuss or even try to discuss

your reasons for not entrusting us
