I remember when you said,
"I want to be a part of your life".
You told me that you would make me fall in love with you.
I remember thinking,
"Whatever," rolling my eyes,
"This dude is full of himself".
As the day went on and time passed,
minutes and seconds flew fast.
The Universe drew me closer to your heart,
it's that feeling of something else taking the lead in this part.
My body resisted the urge to connect with yours.
The harder I resisted, the stronger the connection persisted.
Before you beckoned me,
I originally wanted to go to a space to be alone.
To recover from the storm that shattered my home.
Days, weeks, and months before was filled with sadness which had grown.
I attest, it was all wrong,
before you.
How could one day and one night
make it right?
My frustration and sadness mixed with your magic,
changed my heart before I could fathom,
how you worked around this matter.
You healed my heart in a span
that should have only been a start.
Yet, In one day and night,
you made it right.
But just as fast, even though the magic last,
you took your flight.
Serves me right,
that the end was just as swift as it began.
