Restoration

I walked away and this time it will stay

I asked the Universe to show me

so that I could let go and get some rest

surrendering from this test

Rest as in "restoration"

so that my soul can be bold

and have the ability to restore myself to my original goal

It's different now

things have changed

Instead of an end, it feels like a stand that I took

to start anew, yet again

It feels grand

It doesn't involve another, but it draws on my ability to take a pause

and to remember my cause

I feel settled and calm

life has changed from impulsive, and it’s brought on a new dawn

There's a strong balance between love and expecting what's to come

things have dissipated from right and wrong

the dualities have mixed, and now I am very calm

The time has come for me to be strong

and walk out of the storm and be born

but this time with a knowing of what's to come
